Sheik Mainland (酋长大陆) might be one of the most underrated brands in the plamo world — better known for their water-based paints than for their kits. But their Ultra Action Trooper series has drawn some comparisons to Bandai’s 30 Minutes Missions — and for good reason.
While both lines focus on smaller scale (ie 1/144) quick-build mecha, the Ultra Action Trooper kits take things a step further with full inner frames — giving them extra detail, sturdiness, and articulation right out of the box.
The Zi-Kron is the third entry in the lineup. At 14 cm tall, it offers articulation and engineering closer to an RG kit, yet at a far better price-to-performance ratio. I haven’t built this one myself yet, but reviews consistently praise its inner frame design and the smooth, “buttery” polycap joints.
Parts from other Ultra Action Trooper kits are also interchangeable, making it a solid pick for kitbash enthusiasts looking for more options.
