Sheik Mainland may be the most underrated brand right now. They began with model kit paints, but in less than a year of making plamo, they’re already turning heads with bold material choices and fresh direction.

If I had to bet on which company will one day become the “Bandai of China”, my money’s on Hemoxian. Backed by over a decade of combined experience, Hemoxian has mastered both the technical know-how and creative depth to build some of the most impressive original IPs in the Chinese plamo scene.

Ok, that’s just a fancy way of saying that I’ll be joining pop-up markets from mall to mall around the island in the coming months — starting with Jurong Point, from 11 to 17 May 2026. Why am I doing this? First of all, deltabase is going to remain as an online-only store for as […]
There you have it — the dates are out!
I had originally planned to start mid-June, until my wife reminded me it’s the school holidays 😅 I did not work this hard to build up my business only to neglect my family, so I won’t be doing any pop-up during that period.
On top of... that, I also need to free up some time to help a brother with a clearance sale to raise funds for his wife’s kidney transplant (I’ll talk more about this in another post soon).
In a way, it worked out quite nicely, because I had already signed up for this year’s Hobbies Fair at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre. Hopefully by then, I’ll have Franz-α on display too.
There won’t be any live sales at the fair itself because I won’t have space for stock. I only took up a table, not a full booth 😄 To be honest, when I signed up months ago, I didn’t quite have the confidence yet.
But don’t worry if you can’t make it to Suntec, because the very next stop will be Orchard Central. I honestly still can’t believe I managed to get this venue. Franz-α will definitely be on display there, and hopefully I’ll even have ready stock by then.
Waterway Point also happens to be the most requested location so far, so despite it being almost a 90-minute commute for me, I’ll be there 😄 That’s how much I appreciate your support.
Second most requested is AMK Hub, but I still can’t confirm that one yet because the available space is much bigger than what I actually need. So don’t get your hopes up just yet!
After that, I’ll be circling back to the west side again at The Clementi Mall.
I’m hoping to showcase something new at every stop along the way.
So… I'll see you?
Ready for Sheik Mainland’s next big hit — Franz-α (Franz Alpha)?
According to the founder of Sheik Mainland:
“品质是能把万代所有HG都比下去的,甚至所有R魂”
Roughly translated:
“This is going to put all HGs to shame, even rivaling Robot ...Spirits in quality.”
Honestly, after seeing what they’ve been putting out lately, I have very little doubt about that.
I’m expecting the review kit to arrive in the next few days, so stick around for a first look video 😉

Finally wrapped up my very first pop-up adventure after seven days 😄
Honestly, this turned out even better than I expected.
Many of you who follow me on social media showed up to support. Some came because they happened to see my posts. But what amazed me the most were the ...random shoppers who simply walked past, got attracted by the display, stopped to check things out... and eventually walked away with something.
Even though it was only a short stint, I gathered a lot of valuable insights:
1. Pop-up stalls work.
2. Letting people touch and play with the display works.
3. Sheik Mainland products really do sell themselves once people experience them.
One of the biggest things I learned is this:
People are naturally hesitant to touch displays. But the moment I told them:
"Go ahead, pick it up."
...almost every single person reacted to the articulation 😄
That buttery smooth POK articulation genuinely surprised people.
Overall, I would say this has been a pretty successful deployment.
I’m already thinking about the next one... but first, let me catch up on some proper sleep 😴
Once again, thank you to everyone who came by to support, and to all the new followers and customers — I truly hope you don’t regret the decision 🙂
Lots of love,
Dean from deltabase
Didn’t realize someone also changed the pose of the Zabol 😄
This is honestly becoming one of the most enjoyable parts of doing the popup for me — coming back and getting surprised by what people did with the display.
Every person poses them differently, and somehow each one... gives the kits a completely different personality 😍
Sorry to bother you, would you like to leave your name and email address so I can send you updates via email when something worth looking at (eg private sale) is available?
