BASE is slowly taking shape, and I have to admit, I spent quite some time just admiring the display.

For as long as I've known toy stores, we've been used to seeing boxes stacked on shelves. If there's a built sample, it's usually behind acrylic or inside a glass cabinet—look, but don't touch.
I want deltabase to be different.
The models you see on display are there for you to pick up, pose and play with. I want you to experience the kit properly before deciding if it's something you want.
There will still be boxes, of course. Lots and lots of boxes. 😂
But when you come to BASE, I don't want you to just shop for what's printed on the box.
I want you to experience what's inside it.
Still plenty to do, but it's starting to look like the BASE I've been imagining.

You may be wondering: with my BASE getting ready to open soon, why am I still doing pop-ups?
Because BASE was never meant to be a retail shop. It will primarily be my warehouse and collection point — a home base for deltabase, basically 😆
SoRead more I’ll still need a retail presence out there, meeting people, letting you pick up and try the kits, and keeping deltabase visible beyond the screen.
And there will be new product releases in the coming months too. Who knows… some of them might just give you a very good reason to come find me at one of these pop-ups 👀

Like many boys, I love toys.
I loved them so much that I told myself one day, I wanted to open my own toy shop.
That day almost never came.
I didn't think I had what it takes to run one. So instead, I hoped I could work with an existing toy shop—do what I'm Read morebest at, while still achieving part of that dream.
No one welcomed the idea.
So I opened my own.
It's been a challenging journey, and this is hardly the finishing line. Things may get tougher from here. I don't know.
But I'm damn sure I'm not stopping anytime soon.
This is my Day One.
I ran free delivery for most of August to celebrate deltabase becoming the Singapore distributor for Sheik Mainland.
I noticed the orders went up.
Which got me thinking… you guys really appreciate free delivery huh? 😆
I would very much like to keep the offer going, Read morebut I also need to keep the business sustainable.
So I decided to meet everyone in the middle.
From 1 September 2026, all online orders above SGD60 will enjoy free local delivery.
Orders below SGD60 will still be charged at a flat SGD6.
